A well-written account of an amazing experience, in which the author observed what was happening to her as she had a stroke, and later as she struggled with her one-sided brain power. It would be good to know whether other stroke victims ever appreciate that one-sided power as she did. Of course, not all victims recover as she did, so they can't tell their stories. Her professional knowledge of the brain added greatly to her ability to analyze the experience, and to our understanding, too.
This is the most amazing book I have read in many a year. Jill Taylor an exceptional human being. Her insight, sensitity, and analytical ability far surpass any person that I have ever read about. This is a must read and difficult to put down.
I could not tell the book had been used. It took about a week to arrive, and was worth the wait.
I ordered a book and I never received it. I had to go purchase it again from a bookstore. Perhaps the book just got lost in the mail.
This was a wonderful, easy to read heartful and educational book. I recommended it to many friends who also benefited from reading it.
